None of the three films managed to get respectable numbers at the box office. The poor openings of Badlapur Boys and Main Aur Mr Riight is being attributed to the non-exciting story and the lack of big starcast along with low key promotions.

Exhibitor Rajesh Thadani says, "None of them got respectable numbers at the box office while a Hollywood film, 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' found more audience. Only Rajinikanth's 'Lingaa' has done well."

Rajinikanth starrer 'Lingaa'  has grossed over Rs 100 crore within the first three days of its release.

Expressing concern over the series of box office, trade analyst Amod Mehra says, "It appears as if the audience has suddenly decided to refrain from movies."

Now Trade pundit's hopes lie on Aamir Khan-starrer 'PK which is slated to release on 19th December.

“The pricing for 'PK' tickets has gone up by 15 percent. During Eid and Diwali, multiplexes increased the ticket rates. Now as a Christmas gift to cinegoers, they should reduce the ticket costs,” Mehra added.
