Badrinath (Chamoli): After a gap of six months, Lord Badrivishal on Monday returned to Badrinath with the ceremonial opening of the doors of Badrishdham. 

On the very first day, about 25,000 worshipers had darshan of Lord Badrinath alongwith the ‘Akhand Jyoti’. With the opening of the doors at the northern dham of Hindus, doors of all the four dhams have been opened for worshipers.

Earlier on Saturday, the doli of Lord Badrinath reached here from Pandukshewar with hundreds of worshipers.

Badrinath was filled with festive atmosphere throughout the night. After the opening of doors in the morning, Raval Keshav Prasad placed the idol in the Mahalakshmi temple. Later, the worshipping  of Badrish Panchayat started after placing the idols of Udhav and Kuber into the sanctum sanctorum.

Shankaracharya Vasudeovanand Saraswati of Jyotishpith, Dharmadhikari Jagdamba Prasad Sati, Disaster Management Minister of Uttrakhand, Khajan Das, Badrinath MLA Kedar Singh Phonia and the president of the temple committee Anusuya Prasad Bhatta were also present on the occasion.
