According to reports, the Pulsar 200 SS is in essence a fully-faired version of the Pulsar 200 NS which was launched in November last year.

The bike is expected to be launched in two variants. While the base variant will not feature the ABS safety feature, the top version will come with the ABS as standard and the engine may be tweaked slightly for performance.

Pulsar 200 SS might get powered with a 200 CC four stroke SOHC engine which was used previously in 200 NS.
The 200NS was launched with four colour choices - Cherry Black, Saffire Blue, Tosca Red and Mustard Yellow. The new colour additions take the total number of body colors to six.

The 200NS boasts of a 200cc 4-stroke 4-valve engine with three spark plugs. It makes 23.5PS of power and 18.3Nm of torque. A 6-speed gearbox handles the transmission duties.
