New Delhi: Shiv Sena Chief Bal Thackeray on Monday joined Raj Thackery’s anti-Bihari chorus. Lashing out at Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh for associating Thackery clan with Bihar, the octogenarian leader called Digvijay a ‘Muft ka Nartak’ (unpaid dancer). It is to be noted that reacting to recent comments of MNS Chief Raj Thackeray against people of Bihar, Digvijay had earlier said that Thackeray family had migrated to Maharashtra from Bihar many centuries back.
Shiv Sena chief, in his party’s mouthpiece Saamna, wrote that he is not from Bihar, and claimed that it is wrong to say that Mumbai is typically a land of fishermen.

He slammed Bihar’s ruling party, Janta Dal-United (JD-U), as well and said that political parties are merely ‘using’ Bihar’s name to hog the limelight.

Bal Thackeray expressed surprise over Bihar Chief Secretary’s objection on arrest of a youth from Bihar by Mumbai police for his involvement in recent Mumbai violence.

“When the Mumbai police arrested a youth in Bihar, it exasperated the Chief Secretary of Bihar,” Thackeray said.

Top administrative officials of Bihar had recently objected arrest of a youth, Abdul Qadir, from Bihar for his involvement in Mumbai violence during a public meeting held at Azad Maidan by an Islamic organization over alleged killing of Muslims in Myanmar and Assam.
