New Delhi: Despite receiving severe criticism for its alleged inaction in infamous Delhi gang-rape of 23-year old paramedic in Vasant Vihar on running bus on December 16 night last year, Delhi police failed to provide adequate security measures to women in the national capital. A bar dancer was abducted and gang-raped by three men in South Delhi.

According to reports, three men (cab drivers) lifted the victim and her sister from Sahara Mall in Gurgaon, where they perform as bar dancer, on the pretext of dropping them to their house.

On entering Delhi, the cab drivers turned towards Sarita Vihar and dumped victim’s sister near Okhla Tank on Mathura road and took the victim to a flat in Shaheen Bagh. After raping her, the accused drove to Munirka and dropped the victim near her residence.

The victim has lodged a complaint against three men at Sarita Vihar police station. Victim in her complaint claimed that she was sexually assaulted and beaten up by three men inside the flat when she resisted.

Police said the victim (38), a resident of Odisha stays with her 50-year-old elder sister in the rented house at Munirka. On Sunday morning, a police team was sent to the spot in Shaheen Bagh which was found to be locked. No arrests have been made so far, police informed.
