New Delhi: The BCCI on Monday announced monetary incentives for members of the Indian cricket team including support staff for winning the ICC Champions Trophy.

Each player in the team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs one crore while each member of the support staff will be richer by Rs 30 lakh, according to a BCCI media release.

India won the Champions Trophy final by beating hosts England by five runs in a thrilling encounter at Birmingham on Monday.

Overwhelmed by support from Indian fans at the Champions Trophy, newly crowned winners thanked the large crowd turning up for the final encounter against hosts at Birmingham.

"Yehhhhhhhhh boyyyy. Champions love the support in England. Thanks to everyone.. Enjoy the win guys..," Suresh Raina tweeted.

"Overwhelmed! Weather, toss all against us. But we fought as a team. Hope our win can lessen some of the pain of the tragedy in Uttarakhand," the India batsman added.

The win became all the more important for the M S Dhoni-led side with the sport hogging the limelight back home for spot fixing in the IPL-6.

Off-spinner R Ashwin, whose miserly figures of two for 15 in four overs tightening the noose around English batsmen, said the victory belonged to every Indian cricket fan.

"What an unbelievable match to seal off the Champions Trophy. Still feels surreal. A victory for every Indian cricket fan," Ashwin tweeted.
