The criteria for selection of the team was dependent on their performance in domestic circuit and first class tournaments including the IPL. While there have been many surprise debutants, four names which have been making it to the headlines are: Faiz Fazal, Jayant Yadav, Mandeep Singh and Yuzvendra Chahal.
Let us know a little bit about these talented youngsters:

Faiz Fazal: This Vidarbha batsman who has given outstanding performances for under-19, Railways and Central Zone in the past, will be playing his first international match for India in Zimbabwe. He is an opening batsmen who has been a part of IPL team Rajasthan Royals in the past. He has scored 5186, 2037 and 896 runs in First-Class, List A and T20 matches respectively.

Jayant Yadav: The all-rounder plays for Haryana and is right handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He played for Delhi Daredevils during 2014 IPL and will be expected to save the team in adverse situations. He has scored 980 in First-Class, 193 runs List A and 69 in T20 matches.

Mandeep Singh: Hailing from Punjab, Mandeep has made some good noise with his bat in the past. An attacking right-hand batsman, he has played for North Zone, India Blue and is currently a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore. In 2012, Mandeep won the IPL Rising Star of the tournament Award, thanks to 432 runs he scored from 16 matches, which included two half-centuries. His stats stand at: 2445 in First-Class, 1100 in List A and 1227 in T20s.

Yuzvendra Singh: A key T20 player, Yuzvendra has shown his mettle in IPL and Champions League. He is currently a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
