Last week, BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur asked Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) to get the requisite clearances from the various civic authorities in order to host the match at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

Despite getting an extended deadline, the DDCA failed to get provisional permission to host the international fixture even after it filed an application before the Delhi High Court on Thursday.

The DDCA requested High Court to ask the New Delhi Municipal Council to provide the provisional occupancy certificate for the Feroz Shah Kotla.

However, the court, which had facilitated the conduct of the fourth Test between India and Sri Lanka in the first week of December, refused the relief sought by the DDCA on this occasion.
