Reddy has reached New Delhi, from where he will fly to Kullu to personally monitor the rescue operations of 24 students of a Hyderabad-based engineering college.

Around 24 students from the VNR Vignan Jyothi, Bauchupally in Hyderabad were washed away in Beas River near Kullu in Himachal Pradesh at around 6.30 pm on Sunday.

The incident occurred when students were taking pictures at the river bed.

Information Technology Minister K Tarakarama Rao said that they received information that the authorities in Himachal Pradesh recovered three bodies. He said a control room was opened in the office of Hyderabad District Collector to provide information about the tragedy.

"The government will make necessary arrangements to take parents of the missing children to Himachal Pradesh. We will also arrange a flight to bring the bodies of the students," he said.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has also offered to send the parents of the missing students to Himachal Pradesh by a special flight.

Naidu reviewed the situation arising out of the tragedy. He directed Cabinet Minister Narayana and IAS official Satish Chandra to go to Himachal Pradesh to monitor the rescue and relief work.
