Washington: Beyonce and Jay-Z have formally introduced their 4-week-old baby girl to the world, by sharing multiple photos of her on a new official website.

In the photographs, baby Blue Ivy Carter is shown on her own and also being cradled by each of her famous parents, who are beaming with joy.

“We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives,” a magazine quoted the handwritten note posted on ‘Hello BlueIvyCarter’ site.

The note is signed ‘The Carter Family,’ as Jay-Z’s real name is Shawn Carter.

Beyonce, Jay-Z trademark daughter's name

Meanwhile, in a bid to protect their month-old daughter's name Blue Ivy Carter, R&B star Beyonce and rapper Jay-Z has applied for a patent.

The 30-year-old mother and Jay-Z, 43, have filed an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office to protect their daughter's name, reported a magazine.

The music superstars intend to use Blue Ivy as a potential brand name for a line of baby products, including carriages, diaper bags and baby cosmetics.

The application, made through Beyonce's company BGK rademark Holdings, is pending, but is expected to be approved.

The 'Love on Top' singer and 'Empire State of Mind' rapper's move comes after two competing trademark applications emerged following Blue Ivy's January 7 birth.

Fashion designer Joseph Mbeh tried to trademark 'Blue Ivy Carter IV' on January 11 another applicant tried to claim the name 'Blue Ivy Carter Glory IV' for a line of fragrances. Both applications were denied.
