Jaipur: After groping in dark for almost three months, the CBI on Tuesday expressed its doubt on the role of Bhanwari’s husband Amarchand in the abduction case of the missing nurse.

In this connection, the Central investigating agency had also summoned Amarchand and driver Farooq to the Jodhpur Circuit House for their interrogation.  However, the CBI was not convinced by their answers and expressed doubt on their actions.

Both, Amarchand and Farooq were present in Pipda on September 1, the day Bhanwari Devi went missing.

Meanwhile, the CBI also quizzed the wife of Congress MLA Malkhan Singh in connection with the alleged abduction of Bhanwari Devi even as it continued questioning of sacked Rajasthan Minister Mahipal Maderna, arrested last week in the case.

Malkhan's wife Kamala Visnoi was asked to appear for questioning at the circuit house here before the CBI sleuths, sources said.

Maderna was arrested on Friday in Jodhpur by the CBI along with Parasram Bishnoi, the brother of Malkhan Singh, hours after it filed chargesheet against three other arrested accused.

The CBI has so far questioned several people including Malkhan Singh, his brother and sister, Mahipal Maderna's wife Leela Maderna and others.

This is the first time that Malkhan's wife Kamala has been quizzed by CBI in connection with disappearance of Bhanwari on September 1 after a sleaze CD allegedly featuring her and Maderna was circulated.
