Jaipur: In the much-talked Bhanwari case, the CBI has gathered few vital evidences. During the investigation, the Central probe agency has been found that sacked Rajasthan Minister Mahipal Maderna had paid Rs 50 lakh for the controversial CD.

The Minister had even paid Rs 1.5 lakh to Bhanwari Devi. Also, MLA Malkhan Singh had sold the missing nurse to Sohanlal for Rs 10 lakh.

Meanwhile, a CBI court on Tuesday remanded MLA Malkhan Singh, arrested in connection with the Bhanwari Devi abduction case, in the CBI custody till December 28.

Malkhan Singh was produced before the court of Jagdish Jyani who sent him to the MLA to CBI custody. Besides, the court also extended the CBI remand of Amar Chand, husband of Bhanwari, till December 22.

Congress MLA Malkhan Singh, representing Luni Assembly constituency, was evading questioning for the past few days.

Earlier, the CBI had also called Malkhan's three sons and two daughters-in-law at the Circuit House and grilled them to ascertain his whereabouts.

Besides the five persons, the probe agency also permitted former Rajasthan Minister Mahipal Maderna's wife Leela to leave in the evening. Leela Maderna was also summoned to appear for the questioning.

Bhanwari Devi’s husband Amarchand had alleged that his wife was abducted at the behest of Mahipal Maderna who was later sacked from the Ashok Gehlot Ministry.

Besides Maderna, the CBI had arrested Amar Chand on charges of not cooperating with the investigative agency.

Shahbuddin, Baldev and Sohan Ram are the other accused who are behind bars in connection with the case. Two more accused, Sahiram and Bishnaram Bishnoi, are still absconding.

Bhanwari Devi, posted as an auxiliary nurse at a sub-centre in Jaliwada village in Jodhpur, went missing on September one.
