Jaipur: Even though the CBI is yet to crack the Bhanwari case, startling revelations have managed to keep the investigating agency on toes. In a recent disclosure, the CBI has come across a fact that Bhanwari Devi’s husband Amarchand, who shared strained relations with his wife was forced to be part of the plot.

During interrogation, leader Chatram Deshbandhu has revealed that Amarchand himself had sold his wife for Rs 10 lakh to main accused Sohanlal. Against which, Sohanlal has paid him Rs 50,000 as advance on August 31 and notably, Bhawari went missing on September 1.

CBI was questioning Chatram after Amarchand told the interrogators that the former had urged him to file a complaint against former minister Mahipal Maderna in connection with Bhanwari’s abduction. However, Chatram Deshbandhu has refuted all charges against him.

Later, Chatram said Amarchand admitted of having sold his own wife to Sohanlal after CBI brought them face to face for counter questioning.

Meanwhile, the CBI has proposed a narco-analysis test of Amarchand who is presently in the agency's custody.

The agency expressed this before the bench of Justice Govind Mathur and N K Jain in the Rajasthan High Court during hearing of a habeas corpus petition filed by Amarchand.

CBI advocate Panne Singh said in the court that the agency is willing for a narco test on Amarchand upon which the Court advised them to go to the relevant court for the same.

Before this, the hearing into the matter was conducted in a closed chamber on the request by the CBI.

The CBI informed the court that there are certain surprising facts which cannot be disclosed in the open court following which the hearing was conducted in a closed chamber for 5-7 minutes.

The court also opened the two status reports in the case which have been filed by the CBI.

After that, they again came into the open court and the hearing was deferred till January 10.
