Jaipur: After getting major leads pointing at death of Bhanwari Devi, the CBI is likely to interrogate sacked Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna, who has been accused of being behind the missing of the government nurse for over a month.

After examining the call details of Bhanwari and Maderna , the CBI team have decided to quiz the people linked with them to find crucial links in the case.

Joint Director of CBI RP Agrawal has also arrived in Jaipur on Friday to probe the case.

According to the sources in CBI, the team is likely to question Maderna's former staff and then Maderna himself after issuing him a notice.

Bhanwari had disappeared on September 1 amidts reports that she had a CD, allegedly showing her in objectionable position with Mahipal Maderna, who has been sacked after a delayed-action by the Chief Minister.

Amarchand, husband of Bhanwari, has accused Maderna of assault, kidnapping and murdering Bhanwari. However, the charges have been refuted by the former minister.

The investigative agency suspects that Bhanwari was burnt alive in a lime kiln in Pipar area of Jodhpur.  Acting on a tip off, the CBI team had inspected the lime kiln belonging to panchayat committee member, Goverdhan Ram Choudhary in Sojat, a city near Jhodpur on Thursday.
