Jaipur: A court here extended the custody of Congress MLA Malkhan Singh Bishnoi, who has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of nurse Bhanwari Devi, till January 2.

The CBI presented him in the court of an additional chief judicial magistrate at the end of his remand period. The MLA from Luni constituency was arrested on December 19 by the CBI after questioning. He was then remanded to CBI custody till December 31.

During his interrogation, Singh had admitted of his relationship with Bhanwari Devi.

Meanwhile, another suspect, Omprakash Bishnoi, who was arrested on Friday, was also presented in the same court. He was sent to CBI custody till January 4.   Omprakash Bishnoi is the brother of Bishnaram Bishnoi, a key suspect in the case who has been untraced for long. The CBI is interrogating Omprakash to trace Bishnaram.

The CBI has arrested three alleged kidnappers, Shahabuddin, Sohan Lal Bishnoi and Baldev Jaat. Along with these suspects, Sahiram Bishnoi and his friend Umesharam Bishnoi, Bhanwari's husband Amarchand and Malkhan's brother Parasram Bishnoi in the case have also been arrested.
