Jodhpur: Congress MLA Malkhan Singh, who was skipping questioning in connection with the Bhanwari Devi abduction case, appeared before the CBI here on Monday.

The Congress MLA was skipping interrogation citing health grounds for the past few days despite the probe agency issuing summons for the same.

Malkhan, who was supposed to appear before a CBI team for questioning on Saturday, arrived at the Circuit House here at around 7 PM, sources in the central agency said.

Earlier in the day, the CBI had called Malkhan's three sons and two daughters-in-law at the Circuit House and grilled them to find the whereabouts of the Congress legislator.

Besides the five persons, the probe agency also permitted former Rajasthan minister Mahipal Maderna's wife Leela to leave in the evening. Leela Maderna was also summoned in the morning to appear for the questioning.

Currently, Malkhan is being grilled by the CBI sleuths at the Circuit House.

Bhanwari, 36, posted as an auxiliary nurse at a sub- centre in Jaliwada village, is missing since September one.
