Jaipur: In the mysterious disappearance case of nurse Bhanwari Devi, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday moved before the Rajasthan High Court seeking two weeks time for further investigations.

The CBI’s advocate Panne Singh appeared before the Division Bench comprising Justices Gobind Mathur and NK Jain and sought two week’s time for submitting the report. Hearing his plea, the bench deferred the case till November 11.

Representing the state government, the Additional Advocate General sought to know citing media reports that the court is not happy with the government investigation. However, the court dismissed such reports.

Meanwhile, the CBI team questioned Congress MLA Malkhan Singh's sister Indira Bishnoi in connection with the case here on Thursday.

Notably, Bhanwari’s husband Amarchand in his habeas corpus petition had pleaded that the CBI should be made a party in the case and the court accepting his plea had issued the notice to the CBI headquarters.

Bhanwari had disappeared on September 1 amidst reports that she had a CD, allegedly showing her in an objectionable position with former Water Resources Minister Mahipal Maderna, who was sacked from the state Cabinet in a delayed-action by the Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, the CBI team has learnt that the nurse was allegedly burnt alive in a lime kiln in Pipar area of Jodhpur.
