Kolkata: Information and Technology (IT) industry was seen functioning normally on Thursday with attendance in major IT companies varying from 80-90 percent in the IT hub in Kolkata during the bandh called by the national Democratic Alliance (NDA) and Left parties.

 80 to 90 cent attendance was reported in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Cognizant, PricewaterhouseCoopers, sources said.

NASSCOM head (East) Suparno Maitra said "I am happy to inform you that IT industry in West Bengal has overcome all odds to function normally."

Wipro Technology, which had declared an all-India holiday, will work on Saturday, its spokesperson said.
