Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday lauded the contribution of the Punjabi community in the development of Haryana.

He announced raising a memorial to honour the members of the community who had lost their lives during partition of the country in 1947.

The Chief Minister was addressing a Haryana Punjabi Maha Sammelan in Faridabad.

Hooda said his government has already declared Punjabi as the second language in the state
