Chandigarh:  After facing criticism for maintaining silence over the growing crime against women in Haryana, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda announced to review the steps being taken to curb the menace.

Each District Magistrate has been asked to submit report to the CM over the crime against women. The move came after the Union Home Ministry and the SC/ST Commission had sought the report on it.

National Advisory Board, chairperson, Sonia Gandhi is also keeping a strong vigil on crime against women in all the Congress-ruled states.
According to the government sources, more number of PCR vans, women police personnel will be deployed in the state.  Women helpline has also been launched for their safety added the sources.

As per the announcement of Women and Child Development Department, CCTV cameras and white glasses will be installed in the buses.  Haryana DGP apprised Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde of the security arrangements being done in the state.
