Indore: In a bid to reap political gains from the labour movement on Hukumchand Mill, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee president Kantilal Bhuria and state in-charge BK Hariprasad reached the spot to extend their support to the ongoing protest.

Stating that the government is cheating the labourers, Bhuria warned to launch a ‘Jail Bharo’ movement if the state government tried to suppress the labourers.
The workers of the Hukumchand Mill closed since two decades, are fighting for their rights and are demanding for the payment of their wages by selling the land of the mill. The labourers have asked the state government to withdraw the ownership of the land for the purpose.

Bhuria said, “First the state government does injustice to the labourers, then suppresses their voice demanding justice. If the government suppresses this movement, we will organize ‘Jail Bharo Andolan’ to claim the rights of the labourers.”

“Sonia Gandhi has sent me as the state party chief to be the voice of the labourers and the poor. We will lead this war to the Parliament,” he added, while accusing the government of stripping the labourers of their rights to benefit land mafia.

However, state in-charge Hariprasad maintained silence on the occasion.
Notably, the Congressmen occupied the stage and overshadowed the movement while sidle-lining the labourers to fulfill their political purpose.
