Patna/ New Delhi: The political heat generated over allotment of Industrial plots by the Bihar Industrial Development Authority (BIADA) has now reached the doorstep of the judiciary.

Demanding a CBI probe into the alleged scam involving kin of Bihar ministers, top politicians and bureaucrats, Surendra Chandra alias Satish Paswan has filed a PIL in the Patna High Court. The petition is likely to be heard next week.

Citing the detailed coverage of the issue in the media, the petitioner has sought an impartial investigation into the case and has pleaded the court to order an inquiry by an independent agency if a CBI probe is not possible.

Meanwhile, the state Congress leaders held protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. A delegation of the party submitted memorandum before the Union Home Minister and the President seeking action against Nitish Kumar government.

In the memorandum, the delegation has also demanded CBI probe into the scam.

Bihar Congress in-charge GS Charak, co-in charge Praveen Rashtrapal, Congress National spokesman Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, former Union Minister Akhilesh Prasad Singh, state president Chaudhry Mehboob Ali Kaiser, Sadanand Singh and many others joined the protest at Jantar Mantar.
