New Delhi: Dilwalon ki Delhi has transformed into the most preferred outdoor shooting location for the Bollywood film Directors. During the past one decade, filmmakers have preferred shooting their flick in the exotic locations of Delhi rather than taking the entire unit to a foreign country.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Metro Rail and the DU campus are among the most desired shooting locations.

In Imtiaz Ali's latest film Rockstar, Ranbir Kapoor is seen singing and acting in many historic locations of Delhi. The ‘Sadda Haq’ song of the film was shot in Connaught Place and many other songs were filmed in the Nizamuddin area.

While beautiful foreign places were seen in the films in 90’s, the present of league of Directors are more drawn to the capital. Almost every third hit movie has scenes shot in Delhi.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Paa, Aamir Khan Fanaa, Delhi-6, Love Aaj Kal, Kurbaan, Ayesha, Delhi belly are many other films were shot in Delhi. In these films places like Red Fort Jama Masjid, metro rail station, old fort, Pragati Maidan and other places were most beautifully portrayed.

While in ‘Paa’ Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan were seen dancing in the subway and also having a ride in the Delhi metro, film Ayesha beautifully exhibits the Garden of Five Senses.
