London: Singer Justin Bieber is set to host the forthcoming MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) after impressing the bosses with his online stint last year.

The Teen sensation is said to be favourite to front the event in Belfast, Northern Ireland in November as bosses were pleased with his turn as the online host at last year's ceremony in Madrid, Spain, a website reported.

"Justin was such a hit that bosses are considering him for the main event this year. Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus are also contenders but at the moment it's swinging in Justin's favour," said a source.

The 17-yearold singer would be the youngest-ever host of the ceremony, is selected. Organisers believe his presence will convince millions of his fans to tune in.

But they are worried proceedings will be complicated if he also wins many of the awards he is tipped for.

Last year, the ceremony was hosted by actress Eva Longoria.
