Filmmaker Ramesh Sippy, who is also one of the trustees of MAMI, said, "We have a special section of restored films shown in the festival and one of the films is restored by none other than Amitabh Bachchan."
"The film is titled 'Floor Walker' by Charlie Chaplin. Mr. Bachchan funded the restoration work and this shows his love for cinema. If he has taken the trouble to restore the film, then it must be a classic and a masterpiece," added the filmmaker who made the cult film "Sholay" with Amitabh and Dharmendra.
Sippy was speaking at a press conference to unveil the lineup of films for the fest.
As many as 200 films from 65 countries will be shown at venues like Liberty Cinema, Metro Big cinemas, Marine Lines and Cinemax, Versova during the festival.
