New Delhi: BJP president Rajnath Singh is all set to assign bigger responsibility to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi by inducting him in his new team which will be announced on March 31.

In order to utilize Modi’s popularity in 2014 general elections, the BJP high command has decided to accommodate the Hindutva poster boy in Parliamentary Board which is known as the party’s highest decision making body. Modi will be the lone Chief Minister in the board.

Modi will share dais with party Chief Rajnath Singh in Gujarat on April 6 to give a message that he is the part of central leadership. Meanwhile, the party has backtracked its idea to induct Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the Parliamentary Board.

After the formation of new team on March 31, Rajnath Singh is likely to announce the names of Parliamentary Board Members. The board presently has one seat lying vacant due to Bal Apte’s death.

BJP Parliamentary Board comprises one president’s post and 10 other members. Party General Secretary is the permanent invitee member.  Earlier, Modi was appointed as the Chairman of Election Managing Committee during the stint of Nitin Gadkari as the party chief.
