In Jharkhand, party has seen a tug of war between Arjun Munda and former finance minister Yashwant Sinha’s for the coveted post. The Bihar BJP is also facing the same gung-ho as there are many contenders for leading the party in next assembly elections slated in 2015.

Few days back, Union Agricultural Minister Radha Mohan Singh announced that party will fight elections under the leadership of Sushil Kumar Modi that sparked a row among other senior leaders like Dr CP Thakur, Ashwini Kumar Chaubey and former minister Prem Kumar.

Agitated leaders even lodged complaint to party high command in Delhi and the matter was sorted out after Radha Mohan Singh cleared his viewpoint in the context of controversy. He later clarified that the name of Sushil Kumar Modi was taken because of his stature of the opposition leader in Bihar assembly.

The time has changed since PM Narendra Modi’s close aide Amit Shah has taken the driver seat in the party. And Shah has categorically spelt out message that wherever there is a dispute over the name for the CM post, the party will fight the assembly elections chanting ‘NaMo NaMo’. The name of CM candidate will be announced after consulting all MLAs at legislature party meeting after assembly polls results.
As BJP is not going to fight elections alone in Bihar, the contender for the top post will be announced after consulting allies LJP and RLSP and smaller allies for which talks are going on.

If the BJP and its allies get maximum seats in Bihar, it will pave the way to form government and name for the crucial post of Chief Minister will be decided after consulting all the stakeholders.
