Supaul: Bihar Energy Minister Vijendra Prasad Yadav had a narrow escape on Sunday as the under construction part of bridge over the River Koshi collapsed at Sanpataha village. Along with the Minister, six policemen also got injured in the incident.

According to reports, the Minister, MLA Aniruddha Prasad Yadav along with state officials climbed the stair of the bridge at Sanpataha village, the upper part of the stair smashed and they all fell from 25 feet height.

Along with the Minister were Nirmali MLA Aniruddha Prasad Yadav, District Magistrate Kumar Ravi, Sub-Divisional Officer Vimal Kumar Singh and Deputy Superintendent of Police Ajay Narayan Yadav when the incident took place.

The nearby people somehow managed to drag the SDO who was stuck in the stair. He was soon rushed to the hospital in his own car. The injured policemen were also rushed to the Sadar Hospital.

The SDO and two policemen received serious injury in the incident. The injured include Vishwanth Yadav, Ramesh Paswan, Mukesh Kumar, Bindeshwari Mandal, Manoj Kumar and Rajiv Kumar.

Vishwanth and Ramesh, who are the house guards of the Minister, were referred to Patna for better treatment.
