Patna: The engineer-turned politician and incumbent Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar has done something distinctive what other leaders have failed to do which has made people of the state really feel proud. On the occasion of ongoing Bihar Shatabdi Utsav (celebrating 100 years of establishment of Bihar as a separate state), the state was enlisted in the Government Gallery of the Limca Book of Records.

According to state government officials, the website which got recognition in the book has made Bihar the first online state in the world which provides authentic and accurate information of every town and village.

The website was launched in 2009 with an aim of promoting Bihar as a ‘brand’.

It has been designed by three youth Saurabh Kumar, Prabhat Kumar and Utpal Kumar.

On Thursday evening, Nityish Kumar inaugurated the mega event at the historical Gandhi Maidan in state Capital. As part of the Bihar Shatabdi Utsav, the state government is organising a series of events across the state.
