Informing about the Cabinet decision, B Pradhan, Principal Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat said, "The company had proposed to set up a cement plant with a production capacity of 20 lakh metric tonnes per annum. It will also have a 12 Mega Watt biomass based captive power plant."
The state government agency Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) has provided 67.63 acres of land on lease for the project. The project will provide employment to 300 skilled and unskilled persons.
Pradhan said the state cabinet has also approved 285.58 crore Door Step Delivery scheme under the Public Distribution System (PDS) in the current financial year 2014-15.

The decision has been taken in the light of the order of the Supreme Court in this matter. It will ensure timely, transparent and qualitative distribution of PDS among the beneficiaries.
The Cabinet also approved Rs 257 crore project under JNNURM (Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission) to buy 591 new buses, construction of bus terminus and depots in 13 cities across the state. The project will be implemented by Urban Development and Housing Department (UDHD).
The Cabinet also approved Rs 454.6 crore under Rajeev Awaas Yojana to construct houses for slum dwellers.
