Lallan is the Minister for Road Construction for Bihar and P K Shahi is the state Minister for Forest. Both are believed to be close confidants of Manjhi's mentor and now rival Nitish Kumar.
The Manjhi camp believes that the two have been in the forefront to oust Manjhi from the chief minister's post.

Also, the highly-placed sources said both of their activities were not in the best interest of the government.

The governor's acceptance of CM recommendation sent on Friday night implies he did not entertain JD(U) President Sharad Yadav's request not to heed to Manjhi, who he claimed, is in the minority now.

The two ministers had recently protested against the transfer of IAS officers by Manjhi in alleged violation of rules.
