Patna: On the last day of the Budget Session in the Bihar Assembly, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the revised pay scale and allowances of members of the two houses of state Assembly would soon be worked out and implemented with effect from April 1, 2011.

However, without elaborating on the issue he said that the work was in progress for revising the pay scales and allowances of the legislators and the state government would soon take a formal decision to this effect. At present, MLAs are getting a salary of Rs 22,000 and Rs 500 when the Assembly in the session.

Kumar on this occasion even thanked all the members for letting the Assembly to work in a smooth way.
