Motihari: An official of Nepal's private FM Radio was killed and his relative injured in road accident on Motihari-Dhaka road near Misraulia village in Bihar's East Champaran district, a police officer said on Saturday.

Nepal's Birganj-based Radio Bindaas Managing Director Santosh Kumar Gupta was killed and his relative Madhav Singh injured after they were run over by a speeding vehicle late last night, Chiraiya police station's Station House Officer (SHO) Chandrabhushan Singh said.

The police got to know about the incident this morning and identified the body of Gupta on the basis of his identity card and mobile phone, he said, adding the body was handed over to his relatives for cremation after post-mortem and the injured admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Gupta, a native of Raxual, was on a visit to Motihari to collect advertisement, the SHO said.
