"It was a good meeting. We discussed several issues and the next meeting between state Samajwadi Party and NCP leaders will be held in Patna on September 12," Anwar said after the meeting.
The meeting was also attended by Raghunath Jha, Samajwadi Party's leader from Bihar.
The two parties, which pulled out of the JD(U)-RJD-Congress grand alliance after being offered raw deal in terms of seat-sharing, decided to join hands earlier this week.
Anwar and Jha had held preliminary discussions in this connection on September 8.
According to media reports, both the parties are trying to woo smaller groups in northern state to take on the JD (U)-RJD-Congress and BJP-led NDA alliances.
