Krishna Brahma (Buxar): Amthua resident Ramji Yadav, who was working as a labourer with a Doha based private company ITBC in Qatar, died on January 10th when he fell from 20 floors under construction building.

The employer informed the bereaved family of Ramji Yadav on January 12th about the incident. The family is yet to get body.

The victim, who was the only bread winner of the family, had gone to Qatar two months ago by borrowing a loan of Rs 1.30 lakh.

The incident occurred when the victim was unfolding the shuttering from the building. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he died after undergoing medical treatment.

The victim’s employer ITBC is reportedly unregistered. Now question arises that if the body will be brought back to India when the employer of the victim is not registered?

Social activist Maaz Khan is striving hard to meet External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid to apprise him of the incident. Khan demanded compensation for victim’s family.

Social activist Khan said, “The incident of Amthua puts a question mark on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s claim that the migration from the state has come to an end. Over 100 workers from this small village are earning their livelihood in the Arab countries.”
