Patna: Bihar Youth Congress President Lalan Kumar on Friday said he would launch membership drive in the state from the first week of June to further strengthen the youth wing.

Talking to reporters here, Kumar said he visited the districts of Begusarai, Naugachhia, Khagaria, Katihar and Bhagalpur districts a couple of days ago in order to kick-start the membership drive.

"We plan to make around ten lakh new members in the month of June in all the districts in the state," he said.

The membership drive was being undertaken keeping an eye on the 20014 Lok Sabha polls.

"We want that the youth wing should have a major role and secure maximum number of tickets in Bihar," Kumar said.
