Patna: Bihar Youth Congress president Lalan Kumar on Tuesday enrolled more than 25,000 students as members of the NSUI under a new membership drive across the state.

Kumar said state Youth Congress activists opened stalls on various university and college campuses as part of the drive.

He claimed more than 25,000 new members were registered in the NSUI membership list on a single day on Tuesday.

Kumar claimed that there was a "wide response" to the campaign for increasing NSUI membership in Bihar.

NSUI's Patna University president Sudhir Sharma, NSUI General Secretay Rajesh Pappu, NSUI's J P University President Ravi Ranjan, Bhagalpur University president,Ravindra Kumar Ravi, NSUI leader Lareb Ahmd Niyazi and PU Senate member Rohit Paswan lent support to Lalan Kumar in his campaign.
