Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during the inaugural ceremony of Bihar Shatabdi Utsav at historical Gandhi Maidan in Patna said that “We (Biharis) are our own brand ambassadors.”

"Bihar has its own identity. We have strengthened the law and order situation in the state. People are realising our value. We are looking forward in a positive manner but so far the centre has not granted special category status to us,” he said.

The theme of this year's celebration is ‘Gauravshali 100 Baras’ (Glorious 100 years) of Bihar.

As many as 10 books on Bihar, including a 200-page illustration on monuments of Bihar and a children's book 'Atkan-Matkan' were released by Nitish Kumar.

On Thursday evening, Governor of Bihar Devanand Konwar inaugurated the mega event in national Capital.

As part of the Bihar Shatabdi Utsav, the state government is organising a series of events across the state.
