Manjhi first went to Rajendra Chowk in the state capital, where a life-size statue of the former President is installed, and paid floral tributes.
     
He also distributed saris among women affiliated to 'Charkha Samiti' organisation, who were spinning khadi at the venue. Leaders cutting across party-lines were present on the occasion.
     
The Bihar Chief Minister then visited Rajendra Ghat on the banks of the Ganga where the former President was cremated on February 28, 1963, and paid rich tributes to the departed leader, who had played a stellar role during the Freedom Movement.
     
Artists belonging to the Information and Public Relations Department, as well as, school students rendered soulful devotional songs on the occasion.
