Smriti Irani, the BJP’s candidate from Amethi, on Wednesday tweeted a picture of Congress state general secretary and alleged that he was threatening her party’s polling agent.

“Rahul Gandhi kindly note aapke Pradesh mahasachiv BJP polling agent ko booth 210 211Thouri par dhamki de rahe hai (Rahul Gandhi kindly take note, your state general secretary is threatening BJP polling agent in booth 210 211 in Thouri)” Irani tweeted on Wednesday.

Irani also tweeted a picture of this particular booth and said that any voter, who had to cast his or her vote here, would have to pass from the residence of Congress state general secretary, which is 30 metres away from the booth.

“To reach polling booth 210 211 you need to pass the home of Congress Mahasachiv which is 30 meters away frm d booth,” Irani tweeted.

Irani also raised objection at the presence of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s secretary Priti Sahay at the booth.

Irani said she was opposing her presence at the polling both despite not being a local.

“Smt Vadra's secretary Priti Sahay at Thouri not a local still vocal in opposing my presence at the boot,” Irani said.

“Smt Vadra's secretary tells ABP news reporter Vikas Bhadauria not to film her presence,” she added.

Meanwhile, AAP’s candidate from Amethi seat Kumar Vishwas on Wednesday accused the Congress workers of indulging in booth capturing here to save the prestigious seat, a charge denied by the district administration.

"Booth capturing is going on at booth number 42 of Mehmoodpur...," Vishwas alleged on Twitter.

In another tweet, he alleged that information about large scale booth capturing, fake voting and intimidation of workers is coming from various places but the observers and district administration are not taking any action on complaints, which are being sent through phone, email and SMSes.
