Pune (Agencies): Activists of the BJP youth wing resorted to a novel protest here, cutting the hair of a teacher in a city school after over 60 students were made to chop off their hair in a disciplinary measure by its management.

A group of BJP Yuva Morcha workers led by Ganesh Ghosh staged a protest demonstration in the school premises on Friday evening, condemning the management's act in which the students sporting long hair were handed over to barbers who were asked to give them a "soldier cut" in keeping with the disciplinary norms.

Ghosh said that the protest was organised by the party workers after they received a complaint from some parents who had objected to the forcible measure, upsetting 65 students.

"We gave a school teacher the taste of his own medicine after he was found keeping a hair style like Shahrukh Khan," he added.

The school principal was not available for comment.
