New Delhi: Taking a dig at the Congress for supporting dynasty rule in politics, BJP President Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said it is only the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which can free the country from misgovernance of the UPA.

Addressing senior leaders on the occasion of BJP's foundation day here, Gadkari said that political parties in the country had hit the democratic system.

Cornering the Central Government on issues like corruption, price rise and black money, he urged his party functionaries to stay clean, corrupt free and take on the UPA government.

Gadkari dwelt on strategy to face the challenges in the upcoming Assembly polls in five states. On being asked about the party’s prospect in the upcoming Assembly elections, Gadkari said that his party would perform to the hilt in all the five election-bound states.

He also recalled that BJP got only two seats in 1984, however, it was the same party that came into the power in 1998.
