Nainital: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) claimed to return to power in the states like Uttarakhand, Punjab and Goa in the next assembly polls while it is confident of a good show in Manipur.

A meeting presided over by the BJP president Nitin Gadkari was held at Nainital Club here on Sunday. After the meeting, party general secretary Ananth Kumar told reporters, “The strategy has been devised for poll bound Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur.”
He added, “The party will celebrate former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birth day as the good-governance day on December 25. A meeting of BJP ruled states will be held in Delhi on December 9.”

The exhibition of good governance will also be displayed at the BJP ruled municipal corporations and gram panchayats across the country.

Several prominent leaders including former BJP president and election in-charge of UP and Uttarakhand Rajnath Singh, Thavarchand Gehlot, general secretary (Organization) Ramlal, Vijay Goel, Narendra Tomar, Tapir Gao, Kiran Maheshwari, JP Nadda, Dharmendra Pradhan attended the meet.
