Jaipur: Senior Congress leader Narendra Budania and BJP’s Bhupendra Yadav on Monday filed their nomination papers for biennial Rajya Sabha polls from Rajasthan. AICC spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi had filed his nomination on Saturday from the same state.

They filed their nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha poll on Monday in the state assembly. As no other leaders had filed their nomination papers till late afternoon on Monday, which was the last day to file the nominations for the Upper House, it is believed that they will win the seats unopposed.   

Scrutiny will take place on Tuesday and the last date for withdrawal is March 22.
The tenure of Singhvi and Budania (both from Cong) and BJP’s Ram Das Agrawal as the RS MPs will come to an end soon.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, state party president Chandrabhan and many other senior leaders were present during the filing of nomination process of Narendra Budania in the Congress headquarters.

Similarly, at the time when Bhupendra Yadav filed the nomination, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Radheyshyam Ganganagar, Vasudev Devnani, Rao Rajendra Singh and others were present on the occasion.
