Jammu: Accusing the Jammu and Kashmir government of being lackadaisical in carrying effective probe into NRHM and JKCA scams in the state, BJP National Secretary and National Convenor Scams Committee Kirit Somaiya on Tuesday demanded CBI probe into the multi-crore irregularities.

“The government is not undertaking a thorough and impartial probe in the big scams. It seems they (government) are trying to hide the shocking revelations and only booking officials at lower levels for fooling us,” said Somaiya while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday.

Demanding resignation of the President and Chairman of Jammu-Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), Somaiya said that the Sports Ministry should immediately intervene in this case.

He said that the BJP will approach the Central Government in a bid to seek an effective probe in these cases.

Claiming credit of exposing one of the biggest scam in National Rural Health Mission in Uttar Pradesh, the former parliamentarian said that this paved the way for exposure in NRHM across the country.

“Many Union Ministers and their aides are involved in the massive scams. The nexus is spread over Jammu & Kashmir,” the BJP leader alleged.

Somaiya further claimed of large-scale irregularities in the purchase of ASHA kits in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the BJP scam committee is conducting probe in this matter and soon will expose the startling revelations.

He also announced that in the next few months the party’s scam committee will expose ten major scams of Jammu & Kashmir.

Somaiya was accompanied by BJP State Chief Spokesperson Jitendra Singh, senior leader Chandramohan Sharma, press secretary Balbir Ram in the press conference.
