The party has also said that the government should keep its political differences aside while dealing with the issue of Modi's security.

"The government should ensure Modi's security. A month ago, I led a delegation to the Home Minister (Sushilkumar Shinde) along with Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and our national spokesperson Nirmala Sitharaman and also presented him with a memorandum. Shinde assured us that there was no need to worry. Two days back there were reports in the media on a possible attack on Modi," party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad told a press conference.

Prasad added that the government should set aside its differences and look into the issue and provide Modi with adequate security.
