Criticizing the state government for implementation of the Act without fulfilling basic requirements, BJP state president Tai Tagak alleged that the development of the state was being reversed and the huge debt liability of over Rs 7,000 crore, created by the misrule of successive Congress governments, has imposed huge financial burden on the people.

The function of the government has become that of a mere ‘news agent’ selling the quantum of funds flow from the Centre, Tagak told reporters in Itanagar, while alleging that huge chunk of money pouring in to the state have not percolated down to the grass root and reached the targeted beneficiaries.

"Organizing ‘Vikas Rally’ to highlight the achievements of the state government is nothing, but a ploy to befool the people at the cost of the state exchequer," he said.

"It is high time that the youth and women come out and resist such attitudes of the government and demand for a change," the BJP leader added.
