"We had a detailed consultation regarding serious allegations of corruption related to AgustaWestland helicopter deal and the discussion about the involvement of senior functionaries of the Congress," BJP’s Deputy leader in Rajya Sabha Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

He said after the meeting of the Executive Committee of its Parliamentary party, the BJP would now discuss the strategy with its NDA partners.

"We have a tradition that after the BJP meeting we also consult the NDA and then state our plans regarding the upcoming sessions of the Parliament,” Prasad said.

He said senior leader Lal Krishna Advani chaired the meeting where Sushma Swaraj, the leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, informed others of the discussion that took place in the all- party meeting called by Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath.

Asked about the clearing of a draft of the Jan Lokpal Bill by the Delhi Cabinet, Prasad said that his party leaders would respond after they get to see it when it is tabled in the Vidhan Sabha.

He added that the Parliament had passed an effective Lokpal Bill, which had been praised even by veteran social activist Anna Hazare.
