New Delhi: With the release of the Congress manifesto ahead of the MCD polls 2012, the BJP too released its poll manifesto on Sunday. Pointing out the drawbacks in the Congress manifesto, the senior BJP leaders on Saturday worked on poll promises to retain its crown in the civic bodies.

In a meeting of party workers held at the BJP office on Saturday, leaders discussed about Congress’ manifesto and accordingly added new agendas for the municipal polls. During the meeting, Delhi BJP president Vijendra Gupta and election management committee chairman VK Malhotra held deliberations regarding the last minute agendas to be included in the manifesto.

The BJP poll manifesto does not contain any agenda that requires the assistance of Congress-ruled Delhi government for the fulfillment.  Taking note of the dismal parking facility in the national capital, the BJP has said it will develop multi-level parking.

Promises made by the Congress to give provisional certificates to unauthorized colonies in its manifesto were severely condemned by the BJP.

In its five year tenure in the civic body, the BJP passed proposals related to the maps for sub-division plots and not to levy property tax on land owners in rural areas.
