New Delhi: The main Opposition BJP has asked Team Anna to exercise control over its language while criticising the Prime Minister, saying use of intemperate words against somebody holding the top post is not acceptable.

"Any use of improper words against the Prime Minister is not acceptable. Members of Team Anna will have to exercise control over their language," BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.

At the same time, the Opposition said the government needs to pay attention to the issues being raised by Team Anna and take appropriate steps to deal with them. According to reports, Prashant Bhushan- eminent lawyer and member of Team Anna- had attacked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, alleging that he was not taking any action against erring and corrupt ministers in his Cabinet.

Team Anna has alleged that some ministers in the Manmohan Singh Cabinet are corrupt. It has also made direct allegations against Singh in the allocation of coal blocks when the Coal Ministry was headed by him.

Government has already refuted the charges levelled by Team Anna and insisted that the latter have no locus standi to make such allegations.

Anna has no locus standi to question PM: Narayanaswmay

Karaikal (Puducherry): Slamming Team Anna for levelling corruption charge against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Minister of State in the PMO V Narayanaswmay has said it has no locus standi to question Singh's integrity and had lost public trust.

Pointing out that the members of Anna Hazare's team were themselves trading charges of irregularities against each other, he said: "They have no locus standi to question the integrity of the Prime Minister."

The team had lost public trust and "People are simply not prepared to believe this group," he told reporters reacting to the Team Anna making allegations against the Prime Minister over allocation of coal blocks when the Coal Ministry was held by him.

Lalu lashes out Team Anna

New Delhi: RJD chief Lalu Prasad criticised Team Anna members for accusing the Prime Minister of corruption.

"The Prime Minister is not simply a Prime Minister. He is the leader of the country. He is such a clean person, a symbol of honesty and simplicity. Prashant (Bhushan) and his father have got derailed. This (the allegation) is obnoxious. They should take back their words," Prasad said.
